A school where learning is inspired by wonder, skills achieved through exploration and knowledge is attained through discovery.

MUSE is built on the premise by its founders to teach children about peace, within themselves and peace around the world.  Through a comprehensive academia and social approach, children develop an awareness of self, peers, neighbors and their global friends.  The MUSE curriculum is offered through a constellation of learning approaches, both child-led and teacher inspired.

• Nurture an inner and outer awareness in children.

• Celebrate and respect each child’s spirit and individuality.

• Engage children through experience-based, hands-on learning.

• Grow confident and free thinkers.

MUSE Founder Suzy Amis Cameron is on a mission.  Not satisfied with the school system when looking for an education program for her own two children, she sought an alternative approach offering education in a completely different, all encompassing way.  So, she and her husband James Cameron decided to create a school and one of the main focuses would be teaching a healthy lifestyle to children, which meant teaching the importance of a healthy diet.  She states, “I have watched my children and friends children’s behaviors change drastically after minor diet adjustments.  It is vital for us to feed our children the best way we can so their brains will have optimal production value.”

In addition to Spanish and French, children get the best of everything they need and love  with a full routine of Adventure and Outdoor activities, Yoga, Art, Music, Performing Arts, Human Development and an all natural organic menu of lunch and snack time goodies.  All of the MUSE programs are specifically designed for early childhood through the fifth grade.  The key, core principles used in each program targeted to help the growth and development of the children are:

1. Adults see each child as unique, strong and full of potential.

2. The teacher is a partner in learning with the child.

3. Children can present their ideas and emotions through many “languages”—including spoken and written words, visual arts, drama, movement and more.

4. The educational process is a collaboration between children and peers; teachers and other teachers; teachers and families; school and the community.
