16th ANNUAL RACE TO ERASE MS GALA

The Race to Erase MS Charity Fundraiser Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles raised an incredible $2 million for the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis.  A generous bid of $270,000 came from Malibu couple Kymberly Gold, co-founder of True Religion Jeans, and music producer Victor Newman,  for the first new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder to be delivered to the U.S.  The car was prepared especially by Lamborghini for the charity event and the couple will receive it next month.  All   funds raised are earmarked for MS research and public awareness campaigns.   Special performances by the Eagles and Michelle Branch made the night special, along with appearances by Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman, Tom Arnold, Teri Garr, Rob Lowe, Kim Kardashian, Blair Underwood, Mario Lopez, Jewel and Nancy O’Dell.

NOCHE de NINOS

Noche de Niños kicked off with singing artist Jewel and CA Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  The charity was inspired by six-year-old Dustin Meraz, suffering from terminal cancer made a wish to help other seriously ill children. Honorees were actress, author, and children’s advocate Jamie Lee Curtis and Corporate Philanthropists Megan and Rick Hernandez.
