The Beverly Hills Country Club was founded more than 80 years ago by the great Merv Griffin’s late uncle Elmer Griffin. It quickly became the play ground to 20th Century Fox and MGM headliners. Its history runs parallel with the celebrities, studio exec, and famous socialites who frequented it. Over the years the tradition of the Club has filtered through generations who still include many of the most prominent families in Los Angeles. Beverly Hills Country Club is a gathering spot for friends and family and offers a multitude of enter- tainment that include exceptional dining amenities from an intimate setting in a private room to business networking lunches, night dining and family celebrations. The top floor of the clubhouse has indoor/ outdoor dining areas, banquet rooms and an intimate bar and lounge that are often the setting for dancing and other entertainment. On the middle floor are the cardio and weight room, locker room, sauna and steam rooms, exercise studio and massage services, plus group exercise classes. The ground floor houses the Pro Shop featuring Club Logo apparel—and because children want to have some fun too—a game room that will keep them occupied for hours, parent & me swim classes, kids yoga classes and even kids martial arts and jazz Hip Hop classes. There is also a child care center for adults to take a break and get in some quiet time to exercise on their own. Outside the Clubhouse the view gets even better with a 25-meter heated Junior Olympic swimming pool, two children’s pools, 10 lighted tennis courts, shaded tables and areas just perfect for relaxing, sipping a drink and lounging in the sun.
For those members who live for golf…they can enjoy the Calabasas Country Club—the sister club of the Beverly Hills Country Club. The course is set in the dramatic and rolling natural beauty of the Calabasas hills and offers golfers of all skills ongoing challenges each time they play the 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and Junior. Golf activities are year-round for the entire family and also include golf clinics. The superb golf practice facilities offer 4 chipping/ pitching greens, 2 putting greens and 3 practice bunkers.
