Defining Beauty With Robert Moran

 

I discovered my talents for hair and makeup growing up in a town outside the San Joaquin Valley.  My mother Lydia owned her version of a Steel Magnolia hair salon.  I watched her transform clients bringing their beauty out and  knew that’s what I wanted to do.  Leaving my family behind to chase my dreams in Los Angeles was a tough decision, but led me into a career that I love.  Hair style, color and makeup. 

First step: I was hired by MAC and achieved star status in the company.  For more than 5 years I traveled the world as a lead makeup artist.  An unforgettable experience, but in the back of my mind I knew that I wanted my own makeup line.  I  found it at Eric Serena, a boutique salon in Beverly Hills. The salon is mecca for a varied client list of singers, actors and models, all looking for a unique color, cut and style of their own. 

Makeup For All Ages

I wanted to create a makeup line for ages— 16 to 60-plus.  

My priorities were:

•Healthy for the skin

•Mineral based

•For all skin types •Doesn’t clog pores

•Doesn’t seep  into facial lines

Most mineral makeup makes  skin itchy and dry.  I looked for minerals that fed the skin essential vitamins and left skin smooth and porcelain.  It took six years and working with leading  skin experts and the same chemists who do products for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and  Clinique.

I’m a 49 year old cosmetic veteran and am fortunate to have experienced an array of cosmetic lines since my late teens.  I attended an upscale event with a lot of media and Robert did my make up.  The color palates of Robert’s line are superior to others, bar none.  The amazing foundation is as light as a feather and healthy for all skin types being that it is a mineral foundation.  It was such a unique experience I left the studio so very pleased.  Compliments from my acquaintances that evening made me realize that I was going back to Robert.  I suspended my search for other cosmetic lines and encourage those ready for a change to meet Robert and share an incredible make over experience at the Eric Serena Hair and Design Studio and I promise that you will absolutely be glad that you did and I also promise that you will not find another collection superior to his.
