Art In Motion
Celebrated Photographer Robin Layton Solo In LA West Hollywood was the setting for celebrated photographer Robin Layton, an LA photographer and Pulitzer Prize nominee who was declared one of the world’s eight most talented photographers by LIFE magazine. Layton combines gauzy art photography with rustic found objects she picks up at flea markets around the country making them one-of-a-kind. This is her first solo show in LA since moving here seven years ago. Among famous clients who collect her work are Oprah Winfrey, Robery Downey Jr. and Sarah Jessica Parker. At the gallery were actress Frances Fisher, Kathy Naimy, Patricia Bethune and Thom Blerdz among other.

Mi Buenos Aires Querido
A photographic exhibition by Martin Cohen
The photographic exhibition on Buenos Aires celebrates the passion and colors of one of Latin America’s most remarkable cities and its bicentennial (200 years of independence). Many of the photographs were taken in La Boca, one of the oldest and most authentic neighborhoods of the capital. In this popular artists’ quarter of Buenos Aires, we encounter a unique blend of old architecture and intense, primary colors, characteristic of its famous main promenade, Caminito. Special attention should also be paid to the murals of Pasaje Lanin in the neighboring barrio of Barracas. The extensive mosaics were created in 2000 by local artist Marino Santa Maria and cover a row of houses over the full length of a city block. Martin Cohen has visited Buenos Aires on many occasions; photos for this exhibition were taken in 2008.
VIP guests: Jose Cafiero, Deputy Consul General of the Argentine Republic; Johannes van Tilburg, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands; Fernando Lazcano Dunn, Former Consul General of Bolivia; Argentine film director Martin Guigui; Barbara Lazaroff, Pieter Jan Brugge; Dr. Frank Ryan; Jesse Metcalfe; Cara Santana; Sybil Danning; Rikki Rosent; Beverly Cohn; Celeste Yarnall, and others from the U.S., Argentina, the Netherlands and Italy.
