Participants from all across Los Angeles completed the American Lung Association inCalifornia’s Fight for Air Walkto raise much needed funds and awareness to show ongoing support of healthy lungs and healthy air. The event took place in downtown Santa Monica, and drew more than 500 participants and raised over $30,000. This year’s walk included teams from Band of America, USC Norris Cancer Hospital and CBIZ. Participants Lydia and Daniel Rojaslives were drastically changedby lung disease when Lydia’s 15-year-old daughter, Stephanie, suffered a fatal asthma attack. Lydia hasmade it her mission to raise awareness about asthma and its severity. Daniel, who also suffers from asthma walked to promote education and support those afflicted withthe disease. He hopes help asthma suffers and help preventasthma-related deaths.
